Writers Toolbox

The Writers Toolbox is a free ten–week course designed for new writers of any age and aims to further their knowledge by introducing them to a variety of techniques, methods and existing writers.

Each 90-minute weekly session is designed to expose writers to new techniques and ideas surrounding the craft and the art of playwrighting and the course is also aimed to facilitate the creation of a new play. Following the ten-week period, the writers involved are encouraged to write their new play over the next two months and then submit it to the company for feedback and assessment.

The first Writers Toolbox was held in spring 2007 at Oval House and the seven writers we worked with were:
Will Davis, Alexandra Denye, Denise Keane, Natasha Langridge, Jenny Naish, Bernadette O'Leary and Sian Owen.

We hope to run another Writers Toolbox at some point but as yet no dates have been finalised, so check back for updates soon or join our mailing list:
