Steven Hevey - Playwright
A graduate of the University of East London, Steve trained on both the Soho Theatre and Royal Court Young Writers Programmes. He is currently one of Paines Plough writers on attachment as part of Paines Plough and Channel 4's Future Perfect 2008 scheme. His work for Paines Plough includes LONDON BELONGS TO ME performed at the Globe Theatre and BIG, BIG MONKEY MAN, performed by himself at Trafalgar Studio 2 as part of their LATER evenings. Other writing includes CLOSING DOWN (Theatre503/Theatre Voice), DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? and I FEEL FUNNY (NYT/Soho Theatre) and BAGGAGE (Soho Theatre). He was recently shortlisted for Channel 4/IWC's Coming Up strand and is currently working on two full-length plays PAY AS YOU GO and CAN'T SEE THE LIGHT. IN MY NAME is his first full-length play.
